Jan Groover
Jan Groover (American, 1943 – 2011) created her famous Kitchen Still Life in 1978 and 1979. Using a large-format camera, she transformed colanders, knives, spatulas and baking pans into objects of beauty that still hold a visual interest that transcends their common use.

Form Over Function
André Kertész
André Kertész created the image ‘Fork’ in 1928. at the time he lived in paris where he mixed with dada movement. this image is deliberately simple. kertesz is paying attention to the photographs composition. emphasising the fork’s geometry and form. The fork becomes more than just a kitchen utensil. Kertész believed photography should reveal the real nature of things Whilst in Paris Kertész felt like an outsider. Kertész expressed this loneliness through the subjects of his photographs He was able to combine formal composition with an emotive charge Henri Cartier Bresson said “Each time Kertész’s shutter clicks I hear his heart betting.

Edward Weston
The camera Edward weston used was a gaphlex 4 by 5 version. The benefits of using this type of camera is to see your composition when taking the photo. The weston philosophy has its own language about.whilst taking the photo he had a problem with the closer he got to the subject the fov shrinks. The exposer for the pepper photo was 4-6 hours the long exposer efected the i8mage because it make the whole image focused and bright. he also uses depth of field to really focas on the object and and so your the background is more plane Discuss Depth of Field.

David Hockney- Photojoiners
David Hockney is connected to the Pop Art art movement. This movement was interested in responding to Popular Culture.
Hockney created photojoiners that consisted of photographs taken of the same object from different perspectives. The images were then collaged together to recreate the place, person or object even though the overall appearance may look distorted. This work connects with the Cubist movement, one of Hockney's major aims.

Experiment using these items and as you let the colour flow into the water photograph the different stages of the experiment. Take images of the reaction from different angles and viewpoints use lighting (maybe from your phones torch) to highlight the different liquids as they move together and apart.
